Boutique Apartment in Paris: A Paris Salon

The Romantics’ Paris: In the heart of Paris’s 9th arrondissement, this boutique apartment in Paris once acted as a salon for some of the most prolific figures in the 19th century Romantic movement. It is here where Alfred De Musset had his love affair with George Sand, and where Victor Hugo, Delacroix and other romantic heroins advanced the virtues of the movement. Its neighbourhood has been home to the Drouot auction since the 1850’s – dealers of art and objects abound while small galleries dot the streets and passages. This little corner of our beloved city represents the Paris of yesteryear, bursting with its long-lost, old-world charm.

Being Local

One of the most popular resort towns on the Italian Riviera, little Portofino has just over 500 permanent residents. But that all changes on summer days when the sun is shining and the yachting set drops anchor in the harbor to wander about. Boutiques, art galleries, cafes and restaurants line the tiny streets. Diving, hiking and beach-going are popular local pastimes, and there are even some historic sights like the Church of St. Martin (Divo Martino) and the Castello Brown hilltop fortress.
