Villa Ponti – A Retro 1960’s Villa in Portofino
This retro-style villa in Portofino is carved boldly into the cliffs of the Lingurian Coast. Sunsets, sea views, and coastal nature delight the senses. This section of the Ligurian Coast is dotted with charming towns and villages, spectacular 19th century villas and gardens, beaches, local food shops, and traditional restaurants — it’s the farniente lifestyle. Discover the Italy of the 1960’s, a place where time slows down and life’s rhythm matches that of the waves. The towns of Rapallo, Santa Margherita, Portofino, are nearby, and Cinque Terre is a short train ride away.

Being Local
One of the most popular resort towns on the Italian Riviera, little Portofino has just over 500 permanent residents. But that all changes on summer days when the sun is shining and the yachting set drops anchor in the harbor to wander about. Boutiques, art galleries, cafes and restaurants line the tiny streets. Diving, hiking and beach-going are popular local pastimes, and there are even some historic sights like the Church of St. Martin (Divo Martino) and the Castello Brown hilltop fortress.
Food & Flavours
Region: Camogli
Pasticceria Revello – Bakery
This is one of the best places to devour focaccia con formaggio. Truly the finest – especially after a stint on the beach. You’ll be queuing just to try this delicacy.
La Camogliese- Restaurant
One of our favourite restaurants with beautiful views. This classic spot represents all of the favourite local dishes. We suggest making a reservation – especially if you want to sit on the sea’s edge.
Cooperativa Pescatori- Floating Street Food
Pesce Pazzo di Camogli
This little boat makes and sells frito misto on the spot – all served up in a paper cone. A most delicious, and quaint experience with the freshest fish possible. To find this gem, you’ll to go to the small port just after the boardwalk. It’s right next to the kiosk where they sell boat tickets.

Passing Time
Camogli
A beautiful port town next door to Recco, with picturesque beaches and restaurants. The name comes from a blend of casa and moglie; or, the fishing village of houses and wives, (as their men were out at sea fishing). This is one of our favourite places on the Riviera for its long boardwalk at the base of beautiful campanile style buildings and beach clubs. (10 minutes)
Rapallo
Rapallo has long been a resort town with many European visitors. There you will see the waterfront and its many grand cafés representing a bygone era, full of life. Behind the waterfront you’ll discover the beautiful old town full of great clothing shops, and places to buy specialty kitchen items. (20 minutes)
Recco
Discover Villa Ponti at the edge of Sori. The region of Recco is considered to be the gastronomic capital of the Liguria. Home to the many versions of focaccia, especially focaccia con formaggio, as well as other delicious dishes such as the chickpea farinata, locally created trofie pasta and, most critically, home of pesto. Spend a day in Recco where you’ll find numerous food shops, bakeries, delis, and restaurants.
